As part of their ‘Light of Faith’ UK tour, the Vatican team faced off against England Seniors, showcasing their skills on one of England’s most picturesque cricket grounds.
Both sides displayed exceptional sportsmanship and camaraderie, with players over sixty years old showcasing their passion for the game.

The second match provided nail-biting action as the Vatican team, after an initial setback, rallied to set a competitive total of 133 runs. In a thrilling finale, England secured victory with just three balls to spare.

Despite the intense competition, the matches brought together a diverse crowd of spectators, including Brits, Indians, and cricket lovers from around the world.
Paolo Iorio, the England team’s medic from Naples, Italy, shared his newfound love for the sport and the joy of working with players from the Vatican team.
