Designed to provide a seamless and interactive experience, the mobile app will allow donors to easily register, track donations, and select specific programs to support. With this technology, Caritas Philippines aims to empower donors to play a more direct role in the causes they are passionate about.
Speaking at the 41st National Social Action General Assembly in Iloilo City, Fr. Carmelo Caluag, the Executive Director of Caritas Philippines, highlighted the significance of this new tool in transforming fundraising efforts. “Our advanced donor management system will make fundraising activities transparent, accessible, and engaging for everyone, regardless of their location or contribution size,” Fr. Caluag emphasized.
To further enhance their fundraising approach, Caritas Philippines has established a finance and investment committee comprising financial experts from leading institutions in the country. This committee is focused on ensuring the organization’s financial health through income-generating projects and strategic investments, reducing reliance on traditional fundraising methods.
Fr. Caluag stressed the importance of self-sustaining fundraising for the long-term success of their initiatives, emphasizing the need for financial stability to continue supporting the most vulnerable communities.
In addition to financial sustainability, Caritas Philippines is committed to regulatory compliance and ethical governance, ensuring that all fundraising activities meet national and international standards.
