Welcome to an exclusive event happening next Wednesday, July 10! The International Network of Catholic Women Leaders and the International Academy of Catholic Leaders are proud to present the international launch of the groundbreaking book “Gender, Youth and Church” by Dr. Marta Rodríguez.
The event will be hosted via the popular Zoom platform and will feature a distinguished panel of guests, including Cardinal Daniel Sturla, Archbishop of Montevideo; Sister Daniela Cannavina, General Secretary of the CLAR; and Paola Binetti, child neuropsychiatrist and psychotherapist.
Dr. Marta Rodríguez, the author of “Gender, Youth and Church,” reveals that her motivation for writing this book stemmed from “a direct request from the publishing house Encounter Editions.” However, beyond this request, Marta felt “a deep personal desire to capture the lessons learned throughout numerous courses taught in various contexts and before diverse audiences, including parents, educators, and young people.”
Rodríguez emphasizes the significant generational gap in understanding gender and aims to bridge this divide by facilitating constructive dialogue between generations. The book was inspired by a direct request from young people during the 2018 Synod, highlighting the need for clear guidance from the Church on issues of gender and homosexuality.
José Antonio Rosas, the general director of the International Academy of Catholic Leaders, praises the importance of this event, stating that it is an honor to promote Dr. Marta Rodríguez’s essential work in fostering dialogue within the Church.
The event will be held at different times based on the country:
- 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. – Mexico and Central America
