Get ready for the exciting 17th edition of Ebraica – International Festival of Culture, taking place in Rome’s Jewish Quarter from Sunday, June 23 to Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Organized by the Jewish Community of Rome and curated by Ariela Piattelli, Raffaella Spizzichino, and Marco Panella, the festival will feature a series of events including meetings, theatrical performances, and concerts. Ebraica is proudly supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Embassy of Israel, the Lazio Region, Rome Capital, Rome Chamber of Commerce, and partners such as Enel, Poste Italiane, El Al, Siae, along with collaborations with Peres Center for Peace & Innovation, Jewish Cultural Center, Jewish Bookstore, and media partners Rai Cultura and Shalom. This festival is a production of Artix and Golda International Events.

This year’s theme for Ebraica is “Visionaries” – men and women with a forward-looking perspective, essential for paving new directions and exploring uncharted territories. Visionaries play a crucial role in various fields – from culture and religion to science, music, and theater. Guests of Ebraica will delve into these diverse realms, envisioning innovation and its realization.
Kick off the festivities on Sunday, June 23 at 7:30 PM with greetings from various dignitaries, followed by a fascinating dialogue on Culture and Innovation with distinguished speakers. The evening will also feature thought-provoking discussions on imagining the future amidst crisis and a captivating concert titled “Visions in Music.”
Continue the exploration of Jewish culture on Monday and Tuesday with insightful talks, captivating performances, and engaging discussions. Highlights include a theatrical performance on the life of Golda Meir, a presentation on traditional Jewish chants, and a musical journey through Mediterranean traditions.
Conclude the festival on Wednesday, June 26 with an enlightening talk on Israel as the innovators of the future, followed by a spectacular performance narrating the story of Hedy Lamarr – the renowned actress and inventor.
Don’t miss the special exhibition “Visionaries” at the Palace of Culture in collaboration with the Peres Center for Peace & Innovation, featuring portraits of Israeli and Jewish visionaries who have made significant contributions to medicine, technology, sciences, and cybernetics.
