Fernando Rielo, the Founder of the Prize, defines sacred music as the mystical feeling of the human spirit, expressing filial communication with God through the most qualified harmony that musical language can produce. This initiative invites composers to showcase their talent and connect with the divine through their creativity.
If you’re interested in participating, here are the guidelines:
Requirements:
- Composers from any country, of any age, are welcome to enter.
- Entries should be written for mixed choir and chamber orchestra, incorporating a minimum string orchestra staff.
- The text to be set to music should be inspired by the First Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians.
- Submitted scores should be original, unpublished, and between 10-15 minutes in length.
