Rome celebrates LGBTQ+ rights on 15 June 2024.
Get ready to mark a milestone in history as Rome celebrates 30 years of Pride with a spectacular display of love and acceptance for the LGBTQ+ community. The city will burst with energy as a colorful parade takes over the streets, featuring dazzling floats, lively music, and passionate dancers.
This year’s theme, “30 Years of Pride,” pays tribute to the unwavering courage and strength of the community. Leading the charge as the Pride ambassador is none other than the talented singer Annalisa.
Adding a touch of inclusivity to the celebrations, Metro Line A will unveil the “Inclusivity Train” decked out in the vibrant colors of the LGBTQ+ flag. This initiative, devised by Atac, highlights Rome’s dedication to embracing diversity.
The festivities will kick off at 2pm from the lively Piazza della Repubblica, weaving through the city and passing iconic sites like the majestic Colosseum. The jubilant parade will culminate at 8pm at Via delle Terme di Caracalla.
To keep the party going, an official after-party hosted by Rock in Rome awaits attendees. Dubbed a “Queer Woodstock,” the event will feature over 50 diverse artists, creating a memorable experience at the open-air concert arena, Ippodromo delle Capannelle.
