According to the announcement, Pope Francis will be participating in the G7 session on Artificial Intelligence under the presidency of Italy. This event will take place in the picturesque town of Borgo Egnazia, where world leaders will gather to discuss pressing issues related to AI.
The G7 Summit, which runs from 13 to 15 June, will include representatives from the United States, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan, among others. The day will commence with Pope Francis departing from the Vatican by helicopter at 11 am local time, with a grand welcome awaiting him upon his arrival at Borgo Egnazia. Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, will be there to greet him as he lands on the sports field.
During his time at the Summit venue, Pope Francis will engage in multiple bilateral meetings with prominent figures such as Kristalina Georgieva, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
