Welcome to the Emergency International Conference on Gaza Humanitarian Crisis
Join us in Jordan for an urgent international conference focused on addressing the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. Hosted near the beautiful Dead Sea, this event will bring together leaders from around the world to collaborate on solutions to the ongoing challenges faced by the people of Gaza.
Co-hosted by Jordan, the United Nations, and Egypt, this conference aims to strengthen the global response to the humanitarian disaster in Gaza. Our collective commitment is crucial in providing much-needed aid and support to those suffering in the region.
Prior to the conference, the Holy Father urged the international community to act swiftly in providing aid to the people of Gaza. It is imperative that humanitarian assistance reaches those in need without delay.
Assistance to Gaza
Meanwhile, the Egyptian Air Force has conducted a series of airdrops to deliver aid to the northern part of the Gaza Strip. The region has faced challenges in receiving supplies following the closure of the Rafah border crossing, a critical entry point for aid shipments.
Recent reports from UNICEF highlight the dire situation in Gaza, with ongoing conflict and restrictions preventing families from meeting their children’s basic food needs. An estimated nine out of ten children in Gaza are experiencing severe food scarcity, underscoring the urgent need for assistance.
The conflict between Israel and Hamas has persisted for eight months, leading to devastating consequences for the people of Gaza. It is essential for all stakeholders to come together and work towards a peaceful resolution to the crisis.
