Exciting News from the Vatican: Papal Visits and Celebrations Ahead!
Get ready for a whirlwind of activity as Pope Francis gears up for an array of upcoming visits and liturgical celebrations. The Holy See Press Office has officially confirmed the Pope’s itinerary, which includes trips to Trieste (Italy), southeast Asia, Oceania, Luxembourg, and Belgium, as well as special events like the Solemnity of Sts Peter and Paul.
Pope Francis will kick off his busy schedule with a pastoral visit to Trieste on 7 July, where he will meet with migrants and marginalized individuals as part of Italian Catholic Social Week.
Following this, the Pope will embark on two Apostolic Journeys outside of Italy. From 2-13 September, he will visit Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Timor-Leste, and Singapore. Then, from 26-29 September, he will make stops in Luxembourg and various cities in Belgium to mark the 600th anniversary of the foundation of Catholic universities in Leuven and Louvain-la-Neuve.
On 29 July, Pope Francis will preside over Holy Mass for the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, which will include the blessing of Pallia for new Metropolitan Archbishops. And on 1 July, there will be an Ordinary Public Consistory to vote on causes for canonization.
