Welcome to the blog post on the solemnity of Corpus Christi with Pope Francis! Today, at noon, the Holy Father looked out from his study in the Vatican Apostolic Palace to pray the Angelus with approximately 15 thousand faithful and pilgrims gathered in the Plaza de San Pedro.
Here are the words shared during the Marian prayer:

Highlights from the Pope’s message:
Dear brothers and sisters, happy Sunday!
On this day, Italy and other countries celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Domini. The Gospel today speaks of the Last Supper, where Jesus gives Himself through the broken bread and chalice to all humanity, offering Himself for the life of the world.
In breaking the bread, Jesus underscores the act of giving, symbolized by the words “he gave it to them.” The Eucharist emphasizes the essence of gifting. Jesus shares His life and identity, showcasing His mission of selflessness and sacrifice for us.
Celebrating the Eucharist isn’t just a religious act but a call to transform our lives into a gift for others. Just as Jesus broke the bread and offered it to His disciples, our communion with Him should make us willing to share ourselves with others.

Through the Eucharist, we are called to embody love and selflessness, breaking the bread of our lives to share with others. By cultivating unity, empathy, and generosity, we become agents of positive change in the world.
As we reflect on our actions, let us ask ourselves if we are selflessly giving like Jesus did or if we are consumed by our own desires. Let us strive to share, care, and serve others in need.
May Mary, who embraced Jesus, the bread from Heaven, guide us in becoming vessels of love and unity, united with Christ through the Eucharist.
