Celebrating the 78th anniversary of the Italian Republic, Palazzo Chigi will be illuminated with the vibrant colors of the Italian tricolour on Sunday 2 June. The stunning display will begin at 00:01 and continue until sunrise, then again from dusk until 23:59.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, Piazza Colonna will host a series of captivating performances by various military and police bands. The lineup includes the Roma Capitale Local Police, the National Fire Brigade, the Italian Red Cross Military Corps, the Italian Penitentiary Police, the Italian State Police, the Italian Finance Police, the Carabinieri Corps, the Italian Air Force, the Italian Navy, and the Italian Army’s ‘Tramat’ band. The program will feature a diverse range of pieces by renowned composers such as Puccini, Morricone, Verdi, and more, culminating with stirring renditions of the Italian national anthem by Mameli and Novaro.
