Experience the mesmerizing “MASTERPIECES for Violin and Piano” concert, showcasing the beautiful and iconic compositions for violin and piano by the grand Italian music authors from the 18th to early 20th centuries. This concert highlights the virtuosity of the violin, known as the Prince of Strings, and the spontaneous and expressive melodiousness typical of Italian music of the time.
Featuring FLAVIA DI TOMASSO on violin and BARBARA DI MARIO on piano, the program includes:
– Tomaso Antonio Vitali: Ciaccona in G minor
– Niccolò Paganini: “Cantabile”
– Pietro Antonio Stefano Mascagni: Theme from “L’amico Fritz”
– Giuseppe Verdi: Fantasia on La Traviata
– Ottorino Respighi: “Sarabanda”
– Antonio Vivaldi: Fantasias from The Four Seasons
Tickets can be purchased at the box office at the entrance of the Borromini Sacristy, inside the Church of Sant’Agnese in Agone in Piazza Navona, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 5:45 pm on the day of the concert.
