The Mystery of the Holy Trinity: Reflections on the Gospel of May 26, 2024
Today, Mons. Enrique Díaz Díaz shares with Exaudi readers his profound reflection on the Gospel of this Sunday, May 26, 2024, titled: “May they be one, Father, as You and I are one.”

Deuteronomy 4, 32-34. 39-40: “The Lord is the God of heaven and earth, and there is no other”
Psalm 32: “Blessed are God’s chosen people”
Romans 8, 14-17: “You have received a spirit of children, by which we can call God Father”
Saint Matthew 28, 16-20: “Baptize all nations in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
Today, our celebration holds a special significance as we reflect on the unity and love of the Holy Trinity. Moses, in the first reading, praises God’s power and love for His people, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a close relationship with the source of happiness.
The concept of a distant and punitive God is challenged as we delve deeper into the Old Testament and witness the goodness and love of God. Through Christ, God reveals Himself as a friend and companion, inviting us to experience the unity and vitality of the Holy Trinity.
The Trinity transforms our understanding of God from solitude to family, embodying a dynamic and creative harmony of love. This revelation becomes the essence of our Christian identity and calls us to live in communion with one another.
As we contemplate the message of the Gospel, we are reminded to immerse ourselves in the love of the Trinity and to share this love with all. Our mission is to proclaim and live out the love we have experienced, fostering unity and communion with God and our fellow human beings.
On this Day of the Holy Trinity, let us embrace the mystery of God’s Triune nature and spread His love to all around us. May we recognize the glory of the eternal Trinity and worship the unity of its omnipotent majesty.
“God the Father, who by sending into the world the Word of truth and the Spirit of holiness, revealed to men your admirable mystery, grant that by professing the true faith, we may recognize the glory of the eternal Trinity and adore the unity of its omnipotent majesty. Amen.”
