Videocittà Showcases Rome’s Innovation
Videocittà is a celebration of audio-visual and digital arts, featuring screenings, performances, DJ sets, talks, installations, video-mappings, and video art, bringing together artists from around the world. This sixth edition, hosted at the captivating Gazometro in Ostiense, promises a range of events that will astound you with unforgettable experiences.
One of the highlights is the “Mater Terrae” installation by Sila Sveta, featuring original music by Mace. The Gazometro will be transformed into a visionary vortex of video projections harmonizing with innovative music.
Another special creation is the site-specific intervention at Altaforno by None Collective, featuring video content on Transition as the backdrop to live performances and DJ sets by renowned artists.
The festival also showcases “Futura,” a collective exhibition of national and international digital artists, expressing the theme of The Transition creatively through kinetic typography.
One of this year’s standout projects, “Forme e colori di una scoperta,” curated by the National Institute of Nuclear Physics, commemorates the tenth anniversary of the Higgs boson discovery through a captivating video mapping project.
Lastly, “Agorà” is Videocittà’s professional program connecting local creative industries with audio-visual and digital experts, offering masterclasses and networking opportunities.
