This year the Giro d’Italia culminates in Rome
In the year 2024, Rome will once again play host to the grand finale of the prestigious Giro d’Italia, marking the fifth time in history and the second consecutive year for the city to hold this honor.
The final stage of the Giro d’Italia is set to take place on May 26, covering a 125-kilometer circuit that starts from EUR and ends at the iconic Imperial Forums. This route mirrors that of the previous year, with a scenic journey that includes landmarks such as the Colosseum, the Imperial Forum, and the breathtaking Baths of Caracalla.
Notable stops on the circuit include the charming Piazza Navona, the historic Circus Maximus, and the picturesque Tiber Island. The race will climax on Via San Gregorio, with the majestic Colosseum providing a stunning backdrop.
The cycling route is designed to be challenging yet enjoyable, with minimal technical difficulties and well-maintained paths. Expect the race to kick off at 3:30 pm and the anticipated finish by 6:45 pm.
