Discover the Botanical Garden and the Accademia dei Lincei as a mesmerizing Light Art Masterpiece
Step into a world of enchantment as you ascend the Gianicolo hill in the heart of Orto Botanico, momentarily escaping the bustling streets of Trastevere. Thanks to Trame di Luce, a collaboration between IMG and Be.it Events, Rome’s Botanical Garden has been transformed into a captivating display of radiant lights. This immersive experience will captivate visitors until January 7, ensuring the magic of the holiday season lingers long after Christmas has passed.
As twilight descends, the botanical garden is awash in a spectrum of vibrant lights, beckoning visitors to partake in a sensory journey where art and nature intertwine. Each illuminated section not only offers stunning photo opportunities but also encourages introspection on the harmony between nature and artistic expression.
A Symphony of Light and Music
Immersed in a symphony of light and melodious sounds, Trame di Luce is not just an event but an exceptional experience. Visitors are invited to revel in the festive ambiance of the holiday season, as the Botanical Garden is transformed into an enchanting realm where the fusion of light and music elevates the beauty of nature.
Central to this experience is the masterful compositions of internationally acclaimed maestro Alberto Bof. Known for his work on songs like “Shallow” from the movie “A Star is Born,” which won an Oscar for Best Original Song, Bof’s thirty meticulously crafted tracks guide visitors through each luminous installation with grace and elegance, enhancing the dreamlike atmosphere.
The hour-long path features a variety of light installations, each with its own theme and ambiance. From the mesmerizing Tunnel of Lights to the enchanting Bamboo Forest, where beams of light create a fairy-tale setting, visitors are transported into a magical realm of wonder and delight.
Celebrate with Your Loved Ones
After your luminous journey, the “Taste of Lights” food area beckons adults and children alike to relax and indulge in festive delights. Savor traditional Italian treats like mulled wine, Neapolitan fritti misti, and stuffed olives from Abruzzo in a joyful setting. The covered area ensures a cozy experience even on rainy days.
