Bingham Cup: Celebrating Inclusivity in Rugby in Rome
Rugby enthusiasts, mark your calendars as Rome gears up to host the 2024 Bingham Cup from 23-26 May. This international rugby tournament is a celebration of gay and inclusive rugby clubs, and it will be the first time this event takes place in Italy.
The Bingham Cup, established in 2002 in memory of 9/11 hero Mark Bingham, who bravely fought back against hijackers on United Flight 93, holds a special place in the hearts of rugby players and fans worldwide.
Organized by Libera Rugby, Italy’s first inclusive and gay-friendly rugby club, with the support of the Italian Rugby Federation and the city of Rome, this edition promises an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike.
