Today, the Russian troops have intensified their offensive in the caregiver area, capturing five settlements. The Ukrainian army has been forced to retreat from some positions in the north of the caregiver region due to the heavy Russian assault, leading to the enemy gaining control over populated areas. The situation has worsened, with continuous attacks and ongoing fighting near the border, resulting in the evacuation of over 4,000 civilians. NATO-supplied weapons were used in the attack on Belgorod, causing a building to collapse and resulting in numerous casualties.
In Spain, with 95% of the votes counted, the Catalan separatists have lost their absolute majority. Although they have gained three seats, they are currently not in power, holding only 20 seats – a decrease of 13 seats from 2021. The radical leftist separatist party, Cup, has also lost ground, losing four seats. The ultra-right independent party, Anca Catalana, has entered the new Parliament with two seats, leaving the separatist front far from the absolute majority of 68 seats. The Socialist Party of Catalonia remains in the lead with 42 seats, maintaining a clear advantage over other political forces.
Back in Italy, the police officer stabbed at Lambrate station on Thursday, Cristian Di Martino, is recovering in Niguarda hospital. The 35-year-old deputy inspector is awake and breathing independently, responding correctly to questions asked.
