Prepare for Disruption: Nationwide Strike to Impact Public Transport Services in Italy
Get ready for a bumpy ride as commuters in Rome and other major cities across Italy are set to face disruptions in local public transport services on Wednesday, 24th January, due to a nationwide 24-hour strike.
The strike, organized by the USB and Cobas trade unions representing public transport workers, will impact bus, subway, and tram services, with varying strike timetables in different cities.

In Rome, ATAC and Roma TPL services will be affected from 08:30 to 17:00 and from 20:00 onwards, as per the capital’s mobility website.
While some regional coach services provided by Cotral in the greater Rome area are expected to experience disruptions, Trenitalia trains will operate as usual, unaffected by the strike.
The strike is motivated by various concerns, including contract renewals and workplace safety.
