Welcome to the Newly Renovated UW Rome Center Exhibit Hall!
Step into a world of beauty and innovation as we unveil the newly renovated Exhibit Hall at the UW Rome Center! After months of anticipation and hard work, the first phase of the renovation project on the first floor is finally complete. Despite facing challenges and delays, the result is nothing short of extraordinary.
The entire first floor has undergone a transformation, balancing the historic charm of the structure with modern educational needs. The configuration of rooms has been reimagined to create a welcoming entrance area, a community kitchenette, a new classroom, and a stunning Exhibit Hall with a captivating fresco on the ceiling. This versatile space will showcase student projects and local artists, adding a dynamic element to the center.
But that’s not all – the renovation also includes new tile floors, updated lighting, redesigned bathrooms, and modernized systems for safety and utilities. The finishing touch will be the installation of educational technology in the classrooms, enhancing the learning experience for all.
We are excited to share this space with our faculty and students, as we prepare for the return of study abroad programs in the Autumn Quarter of 2021!
Phase Two: Transformation Continues on the Third Floor
As work begins on the third floor, we are already seeing progress with the redesign to maximize educational space and functionality. The office has been relocated, a Business Center is in the works, and plans for a new library space are underway. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting phase of the project!
We look forward to sharing more updates and progress on the renovation project at the UW Rome Center. Stay tuned for more exciting developments!
