Welcome to our new space! We are excited to announce that after nearly three years of intensive renovation, our first floor is finally complete. The project has been a labor of love, and we are thrilled to see it come to fruition. In August, we started moving in all our furniture that had been in storage, preparing the classrooms for our first group of students in September. It’s been a joy to welcome the Swiss School of Management and other affiliate programs into our newly transformed space overlooking Campo de’ Fiori. The transformation is truly remarkable, and we’re so grateful to see it being used to its full potential.
Since our last update, we’ve installed state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment in all the classrooms and seminar rooms. From new screens and projectors to smart boards, the feedback from faculty and students has been overwhelmingly positive. Our temporary computer lab in the Exhibit Space is up and running, and the communal kitchenette has quickly become a favorite spot for students to relax and recharge between classes.
As with any new space, we’ve had our share of funny mishaps, from emergency cord incidents to accidental fire alarms. But we’ve learned valuable lessons along the way and are now better equipped to handle any situation that may arise. Despite these minor hiccups, we’re more excited than ever to continue making our space feel like home.
While some finishing touches are still in progress, such as the restoration of the faculty apartment living/dining room and the installation of bathroom accessories, we are looking forward to hosting our first faculty member in January. The third floor renovation is also well underway, with new lighting, HVAC systems, and administrative offices taking shape. Thanks to a recent grant, we’re gearing up to order all new equipment for this floor and continue the transformation process.
We recently hosted our first event in two years, welcoming Professor Ryan Calo for a conference reception in our Conference Room and Seminar Space. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our new space to a wider audience, and we look forward to many more events to come.
Stay tuned for updates on the third floor progress and our upcoming plans for the fourth floor. We can’t wait to share more exciting news as our space continues to evolve and grow.
