Get Ready for a National Rail Strike in Italy!
Italy is gearing up for a 24-hour national rail strike this weekend, starting from 21.00 on Saturday, March 23, until 21.00 on Sunday, March 24. The strike is expected to significantly impact train services across the country.
This industrial action will disrupt regional, Frecce, and Intercity trains run by Trenitalia, as well as services by Italo and Trenord.
Trenitalia has issued a warning about potential changes to train schedules before and after the strike. However, the company assures passengers that certain routes will remain operational even during strikes, especially regional trains during peak commuter hours (06.00-09.00 and 18.00-21.00).
The strike has been called by Italian trade unions CUB Trasporti, SGB, and USB to raise concerns about various issues such as health and safety, working conditions, wages, and collective labor agreements.
